Abstract:
Designing better electrocatalysts for water splitting is a cornerstone of the development of clean energy technologies. Nevertheless, a tradeoff between activity and stability exists for these catalysts, with the most active being the less stable, forcing us to evaluate the stability of these catalysts with time and under operation. The aim of this project is therefore to purchase an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) and to design an operando cell allowing us to monitor the dissolution rate of electrocatalysts under operations. Doing so, the equipment would allow for a fast screening of electrocatalystsunder operating conditions. This crucial information will be essential in order for the Parisian community to reach out to potential industrial partners.
