NMR spectrometers
Our strategy is to use commercial NMR spectrometers around which physical devices are designed and manufactured.
Main technical features
The laboratory has 3 high-resolution spectrometers (300 MHz - 2x500 MHz) armed for liquid-state NMR and probe heads for the study of nuclei from the 207Pb isotope to tritium. Spectrometers are equipped with:
- probes for high resolution spectroscopy of liquids and gases,
- HRMAS probes for the study of semi-solid samples
- and micro-imaging probes, for samples of 8 mm o.d.
Access to the solid state NMR spectrometers of the LSDRM is also straightforward.
The laboratory will be equipped in 2018 with a new large cavity NMR spectrometer / imager allowing the study of samples up to 6.6 cm in diameter.
Micro-fluidic and NMR micro-detection devices based on 3D printing are designed and developed in the laboratory.
